I listened to their presentation at an industry conference this AM and the company still sounds up beat in spite of some first quarter head winds. Tey especially like manufacturing, non-housing construction and the energy business as future growth drivers. I added to my position early on this morning when the stock tanked out of the blocks.

Over the last few years they have added companies that manufacture atmospheric gases, whereas before, other than in the refrigeration space, they were primarily a distributor.

I am NOT a day trader, but I found myself sitting at my desk just after the open this morning like the most obsessed day trader, watching the ticker on PX. AT LAST I got a bit of a sell-off so I could get some kind of discount on this fine company. When the ticker started back up after the market had been open only a few minutes I bought. It felt absolutely insane to play this game. But, anyway, I got 50 shares, no big deal, at a fair discount. Will watch and wait, if it goes down more, will add to the position. This is NOT my preferred way to invest, near market highs, but I have the sense that overall this market, and commerce in general is on the mend, and growing. I had similar reservations 15 years ago versus the PE multiple of SBUX (which was far worse than PX), but SBUX just kept growing through the ups and downs. The numbers of 10 year earnings, EPS and dividends etc. on PX are just too good to ignore. And you have to love the Buffett-like quality of the company's ability to set prices, and the diverse global presence. cheers
