Newly released court documents show Range Resources (RRC) paid $750K to settle claims that shale gas drilling ruined a Pennsylvania family’s property. The payout wasn’t an admission of any detrimental health effects, but release could set an uncomfortable precedent for companies that have always kept quiet the details of settlements with people affected by shale drilling.

MORE!! Fracking is an abomination and must be stopped. If "our" governments have such reckless disregard for human life as to absolve it from the Clean Air and Water Acts, AND to play russian roulette with people's lives, health and property, the only recourse is to make the criminals pay through civil suits.

There are foreign oil companies fracking in America that are prohibited (sensibly, I might add) from doing it in their own countries.
