Heard during Darden Restaurants' (DRI) earnings call: 1) Promotional activity kept the average check price flat during the past quarter at chains. Execs says checks dynamics should change with traffic improving at all three chains. 2) The company admits they have no visibility on the impact of delayed refund checks during Q1, but says a definite impact from weather was felt in certain regions. 3) Investors can expect a minor dividend increase from the company. 4) Beyond affordability measures, the company may look to move push fresher and lighter fare to draw traffic.
