Auxilium Pharmaceuticals (AUXL +3%) trades higher today after reporting positive top-line data from Phase II studies of its investigational treatment, Xiaflex, for adhesive capsulitis or Frozen Shoulder syndrome. The company said that the trial achieved statistically significant improvement in active forward flexion in the affected shoulder of patients compared to those who were only instructed to perform home shoulder exercises, its primary endpoint. It expects to commence the next phase trials for in H213.
