Shares of Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE -7.5%) slip, following a familiar see-saw pattern seen in the stock over the last month. A SEC 13-G filing shows the company is taking on passive investors from Singapore and Cayman Islands via 7.5% convertible notes.

    The Westport - Shell deal announced on Wednesday simply means that a big oil player has announced its intention to move into the natural gas fueling market for the trucking sector - clearly heavyweight competition for the much smaller Clean Energy Fuels. Must be a concern -

    And between Aug 30th and Sept 1, T Boone Pickens, perhaps, smelling the competition, sold $17.6m worth of stock in CLNE (see also article above).
