Like fellow chipmakers Altera (ALTR) and Fairchild (FCS) earlier this week, Texas Instruments (TXN +1.2%) is outperforming after lowering its Q3 guidance. During TI's mid-quarter update call, management reported seeing "broadly lower demand," though the company's OMAP mobile processors and DLP projector chips remain areas of strength.
