An "alpha" test has begun for extending Facebook (FB) increasingly popular FBX exchange ads to news feeds. Thus far, FBX ads, which have been boosting click rates and ad prices by delivering ads based on non-Facebook browsing activity, have been confined to sidebars, whose ads generally sport lower click rates. For now, the test, which comes in the wake of a news feed overhaul that allows advertisers to use larger images, only covers PC news feeds.
