Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF.PK) debuts the 2014 Mercedes B-class Electric Drive at the New York International Auto Show in front of its widescale release to U.S. markets next year. Developed in partnership with Tesla Motors (TSLA +0.8%), the model generates 135 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque with a driving range of 115 miles per charge.     This is certainly no threat to Tesla. Yet Tesla will make money suppling components for it. Win-win for Tesla. Although I doubt Merc will sell many of these. Big auto just doesn't get it.
