Wal-Mart (WMT) plans to close down three superstores in China as it make strategic adjustments in the nation where it has seen a bumpy ride amid an environment of rising labor costs and PR mishaps. Moving in the other direction is the interestingly-named Wumart. The Chinese firm is the leading retail chain store in China by profits and has plans to keep adding stores.

    I'm not surprised, I have heard stories of other companies doing business in communist countries, becoming successful and the government taking control for there own gain. Subway in Russia and Robert Kiyosaki's Silver mine in China.
