Research firm DFC predicts the market for ads embedded into video games will grow to $7.2B in 2016, from $3.1B currently. Game developers such as Electronic Arts (ERTS) and Activision (ATVI) are hoping in-game ads will help lower their dependence on traditional game sales, while Google (GOOG) sees them as another major advertising opportunity.
