Target (TGT -0.8%) is about four weeks into its assault on the Canadian retail landscape and early results appear to be strong. Brand recognition is already improved across the nation, including 20 points higher in Quebec which is one of the toughest markets for a U.S. retailer to break into. What to watch: Analysts expect Canada to deliver higher margins for Target than the U.S. with the company facing slightly less pricing pressure and able to handpick strategic locations.
