Thinking that Pres. Obama will shift his "anti-business" views for "political reasons," hedge fund titan Leon Cooperman remains bullish on stocks. His favorite: Spectrum Brands (SPM), because of its focus on middle-income shoppers that are becoming more "thrifty" by moving to lower-cost products. Other favorites: AAPL, BSX, KKR, QCOM, SLM.

If I remember correctly, Cooperman has struggled mightily the last 3-4 years, so caveat emptor. I know in 2008 he had an absolutely miserable year...not exactly what one looks for with a "hedge" fund.

doesn't appear that he gets it enough to shift. Don't expect it to happen now but it only ensures his downfall. Very bullish if he becomes a lame duck president in 2012.

Obama has reinforced his ideological commitments so many times, right up to and including his latest union-worshipping, tax-happy "jobs" program, that nobody takes him seriously any longer nor would they believe any rearrangement of his leopard spots, no matter how much he proclaimed otherwise.

In essence, it's, now, meaningless what he does or says.

The problem is, many of the things he does are by executive order and through his czars and groups like the EPA, NLRB,etc. I think he still has a major impact on what happens to us for a while anyway.

The problem is, half of our rulers share this "shared sacrifice" ideal. I personally, do not want to participate. What ever happened to the "success of the individual" idea, that this country was founded on. Equal opportunity seems to have gone out the window, so I have become a victim of everyone's failure to do even the most basic things, like planning for retirement, saving for my children's college and staying healthy.

Wow... I hope you're not from the U.S., if so, I hope you leave.

KKR Financial (KFN), not KKR&Co (KKR).

Obama won't shift his views. He'll just double up on spinning his views as pro-business. Then with the assist of the main stream media he hopes to have his cake and eat it too.
