A number of major Occidental Petroleum (OXY) investors are reportedly thinking about trying to oust Chairman Ray Irani, who has himself been instrumental in the decision to remove CEO Stephen Chazen. Irani wants to bring in former Occidental President Dale Laurance to head the company but has faced opposition from other board members.

    Time to rid this organization of this lead balloon. He has for as many years as I have held the stock been a nothing. A new leader is necessary to move this company forward with new thinking and not one that Irani selects which would lead to the same type of leadership.
