"We believe that Apple (AAPL) will launch the iPhone 5S at China Mobile (CHL) this July, as it launches the next iteration of the iPhone globally," writes Wedge Partners' Brian Blair, without elaborating on his sources. The remarks come a little less than 3 months after Apple and China Mobile signed a confidentiality agreement. Blair sees a 5S model supporting China Mobile's TD-SCDMA 3G network likely entering production in May. (WSJ report)

is it not something like over 700 million subscribers China Mobile has? But definitely take this with a pinch of salt as more often or not these rumours end up not being true.

    Apple need to have
    1) a larger display to compete head to Head with Galaxy
    2) need to make the iPad Mini v2 into a phone, for Ladies to keep in their purse.
    3) they need to pay a reasonable Dividend of at least 4% preferably 5 %
    4) when iPhone rings from Mike the phone should repeat intermittently "Mike is calling" and then ring also.

    Please indicate your agreement to 1) 2) 3) & 4)

    1. yes I need a big iPhone.
    2. no to an 8" phone
    3. 4% dividend would be good to get big value funds buying
    4. Yes & An app to screen calls while caller is leaving a message would be nice.
    5. More content for my Apple TV hockey puck, also have it control all my 50" cheap Vizio TV & put a mini Mac in it, I'd pay $1000.00 to $1200.00 for that

Company doesn't say anything !! Sources are cited everywhere. I wish, management come out and announce something which will stop bleeding of shareholders and reward them with special dividend or buyback plan...

seriously frustrated with $AAPL and losses ! though I can't blame anyone for my decisions...

I personally am not judging what AAPL is set to release. I trust that TC's boys will make a big splash, and do it right. We will be rewarded as share holders and AAPL will continue to lead the industry, with all others following.

Apple is allowing their price to stay low for the time being so that retail investors and apple fans can have a bite of the pie as a reward to them for their loyalty.

When big fund mangers come in and buy up the stocks in big way.. its time to sell and generate profits to buy the next new apple product.

    I think..

Hmm! "We believe." That in itself raises a red flag. I hope it's true. If so, the stock should be down less than 2% tomorrow. Trust but verify.

That condescending sarcasm is very unimpressive. If this is true it'll be a huge catalyst and put the stock up by 5 or % by EOW.

What is "Wedge Partners" and is there any credibility to this guy's statement? I would be surprised to hear anything before earnings at this point, since any good news can be used to support the stock on a weak earnings report.

One thing that will always be in the back of my mind from now on is how close the competition is, and how well they can clone and execute without much resistance from AAPL or the courts. So even if the CHL deal and new products bring the stock back up to the $700s, the risk of another 40% decline will always be there and that will limit how much capital can be commited....just seems to be the nature of this business.

But Apple also needs more innovations.
thats where they are dropping the ball.
can we resurrect Steve Jobs please.
I held it through thick and thin too.
    Time to be rewarded,

If I were TC and had something big. I'd play this the same way. Everything good revealed at the same time. If he doesn't have anything, we are all screwed.

Didn't see any post hour action in the stock after this news. Not sure how much truth there is behind this. But if this is accurate this is going to be huge!

Larry, we have already been to the moon, chances of a repeat of it are at best, not likely. At least not the way it played out through Sept of 2012. Just be patient, or you are likely to be disappointed.

This was hinted at by Tim when he was in China. He stated that China would become Apple's biggest market. This was the biggest hint he could make without breaking his confidentiality agreement.

Who said Apple's best days were behind them?

Some analysts will read this news bad ways and will try to bring down Apple below $300.
