Something for the technicians to have a look at is this chart from ukarlewitz noting small-caps (IWM) have joined the industrials (XLI) and semiconductors (SMH) in slipping below their long-term uptrend line. Oversold in an uptrend tends to get bought, he says. It's a key time.

What's the long-term trend that IWM is now below? It's below its 20 day EMA, but above 50, 100, and 200 EMAs.

It broke the uptrend line. This does necessarily mean the end, just a more gradual slope is being established. IWM is too close to 100 to back off. Short squeeze will get it there.
Add channels to your analysis and do better than just watching MA.
