"Ben Bernanke has shown repeatedly that he is willing to take risks and be very aggressive" makes #2 on Rosie's 10 reasons not be short in front of the Fed decision. Among the others: the Chairman likes higher stock prices and the move from the Aug. 9 meeting put a floor under the market, but as of yet, has failed to ignite a rally.

There is nothing particularly "aggressive" about taking other-peoples-money and hyperactively throwing it around.

I didn't know he had a third mandate to boost the stock market. Maybe he figures he has failed so bad at the two he has, he might as well add another one.

But he sure gave it a good try for three years now, even if all evaporates in the coming year. It did give them big bad prop boys and banks a chance to make tens of billions each, and ultimately leave the foolish bulls holding the bag once again. And that's Banana Ben's real customers and who really owns and pays him, so he will get great marks from his true masters.

Rosie forgot to add, "Bernanke is an egomaniac who thinks he's FDR reincarnated, fighting the Great Depression." (And, making it worse in the process.)

People are missing the larger point. In his Aug. 9th and Jackson Hole speeches Bernanke railed against fiscal policy

He has come to the realization that there is only so much the Fed can do without corresponding assistance in fiscal policy.
