President Obama will reportedly offer cuts in Social Security and Medicare in a budget that he is due to propose on Wednesday next week as he looks to show that he is prepared to compromise with Republicans. Obama will also offer to use "chained CPI" to limit the cost-of-living increases to the programs. Obama still wants tax increases for the rich, though, as well as infrastructure investment.

    Hope the republicans take it (if the numbers work out that is) probably as close to a deal were going to see otherwise
