For-profit education stocks could see some volatility today after Compass Point tries to sort things out in the beat-up sector. The firm initiates sell ratings on Apollo Group (APOL) and Corinithian Colleges (COCO) while ITT Educational Services (ESI) is slotted at Neutral and Devry (DV) looks like a Buy.

  • I was in the field of education for over fifty years. Most for profit "schools" are scams with poor track records.

  • There is a large contingent of citizens, educators and lawmakers who are working to close these fraud infested, so called schools down. I am one of them and I think we will be successful within the next two years. As a former employee, I can tell you that they are all scams and are run by greedy, profit-mongers.

  • For you folks posting negative comments, which "schools" diod you work for, in what capacity, and how familiar are you with all of the other schools where you did not work?
