DigiTimes' sources state Apple (AAPL) has indeed slashed its Q4 iPad orders, in part due to economic concerns. However, they also note Apple's tactic of giving high order estimates during negotiations, and then paring them back. Meanwhile, makers of iPad circuit boards see Q4 demand holding steady, as the first iPad 3 shipments offset declining iPad 2 orders.

I don't believe this report at all. What's happening is production has been placed in Brazil, lowering the requirement from Asia. My bet is the total is still expanding. iPads are everywhere and in every market sector, from schools to the military, to corporates. We're only at the start of a massive ramp.
