I think the iPod still has a niche. Have an iPod, iPhone and iPad. The iPod is the one that's always in our sound system dock at home or in the car. Wouldn't like to have iPhone and iPad plugged into either sound system. They have too many other important uses.

I've been an AAPL guy for over 30 years and am a retired B-747 CAPT. Keep in mind that every single iPhone and iPad in the entire world has a Built-in iPod! The unit's popularity certainly has not decreased, but instead has INCREASED with each IOS unit sale. Long live iTunes and the iPod!
