The vultures are circling John Paulson - whose funds are down sharply this year - making lowball offers on some of his holdings, and attempting to frontrun others he may have to sell to raise cash. Sources inside the Paulson camp say redemptions aren't an issue, but the hedge fund community isn't buying it.

    This man is one of the best, if not the best trader to ever live. In my humble opinion this is a case where he has been glorified for the past two years, now the financial community can't wait to tear him apart...Funny the difference a year makes.
