An InMobi survey claims 41% of North American mobile users plan to buy an iPhone 5 (AAPL), including 52% of BlackBerry (RIMM) owners. While such surveys tend to overstate demand, Apple only needs a fraction of this stated interest to prove real in order to see major sales growth, given the iPhone is used by just an estimated 27% of U.S. smartphone owners.
