Twitter is beginning to find ways to profit from its 100M+ active users: eMarketer estimates the microblogging platform's ad revenue will more than triple this year to $139.5M, and increase another 186% by 2013, to $399.5M. However, this is still well below the $4.27B in 2011 ad revenue estimated for Facebook.

    FB has 5x the members and 4x the revenue vs Twit ad revenue estimates, not even close to being in the same league, that its still around is amazing but in a world of sound bites I guess Twitter found its 147 character niche
