Parker Drilling (PKD +0.7%) agrees to pay $15.9M to settle charges of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act's anti-bribery provisions. A Justice Department investigation stemmed from a probe of Swiss logistics firm Panalpina, which along with five oil-and-gas service companies, paid bribes to Nigerian customs officials on the companies' behalf.

    So basically if you bribe a foreign official you also have to bribe US officials.....
