The 10-year Treasury yield touches a YTD low of 1.67% as the world's most hated asset confounds the bears again. How long before TBT is renamed the widow-maker trade a la JGBs? Trailing the S&P 500 in 2013 by 1500 basis points not long ago, TLT has narrowed the margin to about 650 bps.

Has been a profitable swing trade for me. Wonder where all those levered on the TBT have gone (mad hedge fund trader). Alas, spend your winnings on Everest and Truk Lagoon!

This lowering of the Treasury yield is a logical consequence of the present market-situation. Gold and shares are sold! So where to go with the money obtained? Inflation is low and deflation growing! So Treasureries are better for investment than staying on the side-line.
