PetSmart (PETM) raises guidance, citing comparable store sales growth improving to 5.5%-6% in Q3 from a previous range of 3%-4%. The company now sees EPS for the quarter in a range of $0.46-$0.48, from a previous level of $0.41-$0.45.

    Reuters reported that "experts say PetSmart is set to rise. Asked why, CDF (Chief of Dog Food) Duke Alpo said "I hate to say it, but we benefit when the country goes to the dogs."
