The iPhone 5S launch has been pushed back to August-September from July, likely due to "volume production issues," says Citi's Glen Yeung, echoing last week's Jefferies note. Yeung, who downgraded Apple to Neutral on Dec. 16, is also worried iPad Mini demand is weakening, given "flattening production" (Digitimes reported something similar last week), and (like others) doesn't expect a larger iPhone to arrive this year. AAPL +0.3%, shaking off Yeung's note and supplier LG Display's soft Q1 report.

Lower Ipad mini demand? Wow, the manipulation never ends. First these rags claimed ipad mini would cannibalize the large ipad, then they say there's lower mini demand? They can't have it both ways...

Sales or sales growth? Any slowdown is only due to people waiting on a refresh.

I went to an apple store yesterday, the store was packed. People were buying and those who were not buying were drooling over the apple products.
We were there to look for new Macbook Air.
anybody saying that the demand is weakness is living in a denial. I did not see such crowd around PC or android tablets in Best Buy.

My same experience. In fact, the store was so packed it suggested that AAPL needs another one in my town.

Really sick of all the Apple rumors and predictions. I just want the price of the stock to start a steady climb and maintain it for a while. I don't care about the whys and wherefores anymore.

The reality is...they will BEAT earnings but guidance is what matters...and they are out of gas for now. Stock will be slapped to 350-360 range and trade sideways for a long time.

    Kurt,
You sound like your last name, minus the bank.

Apple at $600 by late next year, if not sooner.

Just forget about all thses predictions. Treat them as entertainment rather than serious investment grade material. Reality is no one can predict what will happen. Neither are these predictions important to investment.

Successful investors focus on moat of a company. As long as that hasn't materially changed, what a company delivers in a quarter or even in a year or two is irrelevant.

Dear kleemc: I see some amount of rational investor behavior in both you and doc47 responses. I am with both of your approach but that does not or will it solve the problem at hand, namely the demand for AAPL stock that will determine the price. Thank you.

"Successful investor focus on moat of a company"...in tech there is no "moat". See RIMM circa 2010. The only moat is innovation. At AAPL, innovation has taken a pause.
