Van Eck plans to swap out the underlying indexes for the Market Vectors Africa ETF (AFK) and the Market Vectors Gulf States ETF (MES) for ones of its own creation. The move is part of an increasing trend of self-indexing as ETF providers try to save money on licensing fees.
