Flash eurozone manufacturing PMI slips to 46.5 in April from 46.8 in March and vs consensus of 46.8; manufacturing output 46.3 vs 46.7 in March; services 46.6 (in line) vs 46.4 in March; composite output unchanged at 46.5 (in line). "The survey is signalling a worrying weakness in the economy" at the start of Q2 says Markit. "The renewed decline in Germany will also raise fears that the region's largest growth engine has moved into reverse, thereby acting as a drag." (PR)
