Amazon's (AMZN) mobile ad network is sending out third-party ads via apps on smartphones and tablets as it begins to ramp up real-world testing of the value of its treasure trove of consumer data. It's hard to latch on to a reliable estimate of what the company will earn from its advertising network - but some analysts are throwing out the $1B mark for this year as a starting point.
