Wal-Mart (WMT -1.2%) plans to offer tickets at 3.7K of its stores to exclusive screenings of Man of Steel. In an interesting retail strategy, customers will have to navigate Wal-Mart stores back to the electronics section in order to nab tickets (the physical kind only) for the special screening which is set a day before the national opening of the movie on June 14.

    Good idea, WMT. Let's see...3,700 tickets, and WMT doesn't have to pay for them? Sounds good to me. We might see 20,000 people go into the stores to buy those tickets, so hopefully the increased foot traffic translates into increased sales.
