Rex American (REX -0.3%) announces that its Board of Directors approved a 500K share repurchasement program on top of the ~28K shares still remaining under an old plan. The buyback represents close to 5% of outstanding shares if executed to completion.

    The part that this misses is the stock they have already purchased in Q3 '11 - nearly 750,000 shares - at prices well below book value.
