Microsoft (MSFT), and presumably Nokia (NOK), are striving to bring the cost of Windows Phone devices below $200 - a price competitive with low-end Android (GOOG) hardware. Meanwhile, Qualcomm (QCOM) will remain Microsoft's exclusive chip partner, out of a belief that standardizing on Qualcomm chips will produce a smoother user experience.
