Now's the time to buy Asian airlines, says HSBC aviation analyst Mark Webb. Airline share prices have absolutely collapsed over the past year on economic uncertainty and risk aversion. Counter-intuitively, this is traditionally the best time to look at buying them. His favorite picks: Singapore Airlines (SINGF.PK) and Cathay Pacific (CPCAY.PK). (video)

Is the collapse in oil prices why airlines are scrambling to charge you for every scintilla of purported "service" that they provide?

Airlines don't get the fact that they are providing a service to people, most or whom harbor a great deal of hatred for their companies. Good luck buying airlines.
