More on LyondellBasell's (NYSE:LYB) Q1 results: Operating income in olefins and polyolefins in the Americas rose 58%, while sales of those chemicals in the Europe, Asia and International segment surged to $93M from $3M a year ago. Although "results improved from recent quarters, underlying economic and industry conditions have not," CEO Jim Gallogly says. Shares +1.7% premarket.
