A Pew survey finds 11% of American adults own a tablet, and they spend an average of 90 minutes/day using the device. 37% of users have access to paid news content, but "a large majority" of the rest are reluctant to pay for news. The New York Times (NYT) and News Corp. (NWS) have seen their iPad (AAPL) subscription sales get off to a slow start.
