General Motors (GM -1.9%) says that the base model of the 2014 Chevrolet Stingray will list at just a shade under $52K. The new edition of the Corvette has seen big revisions - including some controversial ones - but will end with enough style and horsepower that the automaker thinks it can compete against BMW and Porsche. Dealers will offer the new Corvette starting in September.
