Pepsi (PEP) is unlikely to buy Mondelez (MDLZ), according to reports in dealReporter, as PEP appears likely to stick with "healthy" food options, and expressed concern about antitrust issues. Rumors about a deal surfaced last week when investor Nelson Peltz disclosed he had taken a stake in both companies.

"healthy" options, like Frito, Lay's, Ruffles, Cheetos, and Doritos.

    Yeah. That makes sense.

They're probably talking about the pseudo-healthy Quaker and Pepsi Max stuff. From what I can see in their brand portfolio, Aquafina is the only product which can be considered healthy ;-)

Actually with brands like ONE coconut water, Naked, Farmstand Tropicana in addition to the Quaker brands they do have healthy options. I would find owning a piece of the candy portfolio more troubling. The majority of the big candy companies are private and pose a major problem in trying to compete with them in the market, compared to a fight with coke which is a public company.

PepsiCo takeover of Mondelēz International - Pepsi Cola loves Cadbury chocolate and PepsiCo-Mondelēz International Marriage and Mondelēz International spin off Kraft Foods Inc last year and Oreo cookies loves Mountain Dew soda and Kraft Foods takover of Cadbury since 2010 and PepsiCo likes Mondelēz International etc.
