A silver lining to Amazon's (AMZN -11.1%) Q3 report might be found in the 70% Y/Y growth posted for "Other" revenues, which includes Amazon's web services business (AWS). If a UBS projection that AWS will account for 3/4 of 2011 "Other" sales holds, AWS might pull in over $1B in revenue this year, well above UBS' $751M August forecast. (previously) (transcript)

    So what? Probably just another service that doesn't make any cash. Incredible that AMZN still needs to grow so much that it might not make a profit. Growing at all costs just isn't acceptable anymore.
