Moody's expects U.S. retailers to continue struggling in 2012, thanks to both weak consumer spending and rising commodity prices. Following earnings misses from SHLD, LOW, and GPS, Moody's expects just 1% operating growth for the sector this year, and a mere 2%-3% growth next year. (consumer confidence)
