MasterCard (MA) and Visa (V) will pay Discover (DFS) $2.75B to settle a lawsuit over anti-competitive practices. Visa may be forced to issue more shares, while Morgan Stanley (MS), Discover's former parent, is suing for $1.2B of the proceeds. Premarket: MA +5.0%. V +4.0%. DFS +13.6%.
