The Digital Entertainment Group claims spending on video content rose 5% Y/Y - the first increase since Q1 2008. Interestingly, disc sales still fell 4%, and sales of traditional rentals fell 2.5%. It was a 56% increase in digital content revenue that allowed the industry to grow - expect NFLX and AMZN execs to bring up this fact early and often. (.pdf)
