Though Microsoft (MSFT) has suggested Qualcomm (QCOM) will remain the exclusive supplier of Windows Phone processor chips, Nokia (NOK) apparently has other ideas: the company says it will use ST-Ericsson (STM, ERIC) chips in future Windows Phone devices. The deal represents a much-needed boost for ST-Ericsson, which has been posting huge losses.

    One can only wonder at the amount of massive price concession that St Ericsson was forced to make to gain the business. I wouldn't get too excited about the financial gain for St Ericsson at this time.
