The U.S. Senate fails to advance Pres. Obama's $60B infrastructure plan that would have provided direct aid for highway and rail projects and set up a new infrastructure bank. The vote fell short of the 60 needed to bring the bill to the floor.

    I thought that the democrats controlled the Senate. Is Reid losing his touch? Or did some billionaire democrat supporters object to increased taxes on themselves?
