Greece may be able to return to debt markets by this time next year according to finance minister Yannis Stournaras, a slightly ironic proclamation given that just last weekend, the country was rushing to secure two more tranches of bailout money. Disbursements of aid will cease come May 2014 making it essentially obligatory that Athens reestablish some base level of trust with fixed income investors between now and then. Whether that happens "will depend on all that has to happen by then," Stournaras says. Wise words indeed.
