  • U.S. home foreclosures jumped 63.5% to nearly 1M in 2008 from a year earlier, Foreclosures.com says. Pre-foreclosure filings climbed 62% to 2.1M. The number, while staggering, was not unexpected. Perhaps more worrisome, on the month foreclosures spiked 19.3% from November to 97.8K.
