If he hadn't paid taxes on billions in income he would have been eligible for TARP funds.

It is very sad state that these people only get a slap on the wrist, whereas anybody else would have went to jail over this.

While Senator Daschle is quick to decide what pet programs get MY tax money, he's a little more careful with his own. That sounds very liberal doesn't it. The road never runs both ways with these people.

No, you would not go to jail. You would pay your back taxes, plus interest, plus penalties, just like Mr Daschle.

Human psychology is bizarre. The last administration would disclose nothing and stonewall everything. No problem. Dick Cheney and Haliburton? No problem. John Snow, CSX, and Citadel? No problem. Daschle? OMG, huge problem.

If you punish disclosure, there will be none.

If Daschle was a Republican, his nomination would be DOA. Just goes to show how big of hypocrites the democraps are.

Daschle might be a nice guy (I wouldn't know) but he started hanging out with bad guys. Leo Hindery is only trouble. I know.

    He should withdraw.
