Please do not insult the Mafia like that. They know how to run a business.

Exactly, the mafia can make money. The Government, not so much. Shedding light, I'll believe when I see it. Report to whom, Ohhh the SEC, must be so they can get their cut, not to protect any retail investors.

LOL! You have a point! However, due to the gangster "overtones" of what now passes for the "economy", you think these guys are NOT making money? LOL...Upon taking a tour of Wall Street, Al Capone was overheard to say..."I am in the wrong racket!"

When the snakes run out of (retail) food, they'll choke on their own tails.

IMO, there is no difference between cartels and government bodies, just that one acts on the side of the law and one tries to act outside of someone else's laws.

There is really one huge difference: Government, at least in our case is elected.

But we are in for the next fight of our life as the government is being controlled by the voting ignorant that believes their vote will get them a free ride. Free health-care, free retirement, free home, etc. This is coupled with a middle class that is comfortable and does not want to be involved in the dirty business of politics. You know, the relative that says, "please don't talk about politics, its all lies and BS and there is nothing we can do." They hate the lies and arguments and just want to turn off. In the end it will be this middle class that ignored the situation until it was too late that hurts us all.

To be fair to the government, it is largely under the indirect control and influence of Wall Street banking interests, who are clearly calling the shots.
