Disney (DIS) to acquire Marvel Entertainment (MVL) and its portfolio of over 5,000 characters in a stock and cash transaction worth about $4B. MVL shareholders to receive $30 and 0.745 DIS shares per share, or about $50. Marvel closed at $38.65 on Friday. (PR) DIS -3.1% premarket. MVL +25% to $48.48.
Closed at 38.65 now at 48.48 which begs the question when was this story first out? I didn't here about it until today. I always blown away by how a stock moves before the news, ( if that's the case) and why the sec doesn't check into this, and why we (traders) don't get a little more upset about this. By the way I'm not saying there was any wrong doing just on observation.
why would the sec start investigating things under their jurisdiction now?
