  Dodd isn't getting re-elected anyway; he is trailing Simmons by double digits.
  
  The only thing that Schiff will do is muddy the campaign and potentially divide the voters that would have voted for Simmons

  Yeah, they're already attacking him and I'm sure it'll get a lot worse the stronger his challenge becomse.
